Global developer platform
Clover is enhancing global developer account security to improve the user experience on its global developer platform. We are sunsetting FusionAuth for developer authentication and migrating to the Ping Identity platform for first-factor and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
What's new
- Improved security: Ping Identity offers enhanced security features to protect your developer accounts and data better.
- MFA setup: The migration requires you to set up MFA with your authenticator app. This is necessary to ensure seamless integration with the Ping Identity platform.
- User experience:
- Developer authentication and verification steps remain the same, with minimal changes to the user interface for MFA setup.
- Your current developer email address and 8-character password combination will continue to work when logging into the Global Developer Dashboard. However, when your current password expires, you will need to set up a 9-character password.
- Recovery or backup codes are not available as part of the new MFA setup due to security and privacy considerations.
Next steps
- Migration timeline:
- Migration to Ping Identity will start in mid-September 2024. You will need to set up MFA to access the Global Developer Dashboard.
- FusionAuth sunset will be completed by the end of September 2024.
