Ecommerce: Clover Payments for WooCommerce

North America—United States and Canada

📢

Announcement

Clover Payments for WooCommerce plugin is now fully compatible with WordPress 6.7.1. It offers enhanced store functionality, improved user experience, and a redesigned payment iframe for a smoother checkout process. For details, see the announcement.

Introduction

The WordPress plugin from Clover allows a merchant using a WordPress-based app like WooCommerce
to securely collect card information from buyers and process the payment using their Clover merchant account. The plugin:

  • Collects card information from buyers on the merchant's ecommerce website and

  • Processes payments using their Clover merchant account.

The plugin is free for merchants. Transactions are charged according to the merchant's Clover account agreement.

How it works

The Clover Payments plugin uses an iframe to collect card information. An associated JavaScript directly communicates with a Clover server to tokenize the card details. Clover iframe-based tokenizer is updated with any future API changes, so your app requires less maintenance. For more information, see Clover iframe integrations overview.

PCI compliance

Card details for each processed payment are not saved on either WordPress or the merchant's server. The Clover Payments plugin does not contribute to the payment card industry (PCI) compliance scope of your merchant's ecommerce website.

Features

  • Authorize, only
  • Capture
  • Charge (Authorize and capture)
  • Multilingual support for Canadian French
  • PCI compliance through the Clover iframe
