Ecommerce: Clover Payments for WooCommerce

North America—United States and Canada

Introduction

The WordPress plugin from Clover allows a merchant using a WordPress based app like Woocommerce
to securely collect card information from buyers and process the payment using their Clover merchant account. The plugin:

  • Collects card information from buyers your merchant’s ecommerce site, and

  • Processes payments using their Clover merchant account.

The plugin is free for merchants. Transactions are charged according to the merchant’s Clover account agreement.

How it works

Clover Payments plugin uses an iframe to collect card information. An associated JavaScript directly communicates with a Clover server to tokenizes the card details. Clover iframe-based tokenizer is updated with any future API changes, so your app requires less maintenance.

PCI compliance

Card details for each processed payment are not saved on either Wordpress or the merchant's server. The Clover Payments plugin does not contribute to the payment card industry (PCI) compliance scope of your merchant’s eCommerce site.
