Submit global developer account for approval

North America—US and Canada
Latin America—Brazil and Mexico
Global developer platform

Clover must verify and approve your global developer account in the production environment before starting the process to approve your app. Your app is linked to your approved production developer account.

Before you begin

  1. Create a global developer account.
  2. Create and test your app on the sandbox. You can submit your developer account for approval on production even while building and testing your app on sandbox.

Prerequisite

The developer must have an owner role to view and edit account settings in the Developer Settings—Developer Info section. Only an owner can accept the Clover Developer Agreement. For more information on developer roles and permissions, see Manage global developer account.

Steps

  1. Log in to the Global Developer Dashboard with your owner account details.
  2. Turn off the Sandbox toggle icon to access the production environment. The gray toggle icon indicates that you are in the production environment. If you do not have a verified developer account, a Verify your Developer Account banner displays on the Production environment.

Update approved account information

Update name and email address

If you need to change approved account information, such as the developer's name or email address, send an email to Clover Developer Relations (Dev Rel) at [email protected] with the following information:

  • Developer account name and identifier. The Developer ID displays in the Developer Settings > Developer Info tab.
  • Request type and reason for the request, for example, developer name or email address change.

Transfer account ownership

If you need to transfer the ownership of a business account to another user, see Transfer developer account ownership. For example, if an approved developer leaves the company, the owner or admin must transfer the developer account ownership to another person to assume responsibility for the account.
