You should collaborate with a developer or your development team to integrate 3DS for Clover Online Ordering.
How is 3D Secure priced?
3D Secure is priced for merchants at 4¢ in the local currency (USD or CAD) per transaction. Billing will occur in the local currency, and the merchant will receive a bill from Clover Billing at the end of the month.
Does 3DS protect me against all kinds of chargebacks?
No, 3DS only offers chargeback protection against fraud-related chargebacks. A merchant may be responsible for all other types of chargebacks. The liability shiftprotection applies only to chargebacks related to fraud and friendly fraud and does not cover non-fraudulent customer claims.
I can't find the 3DS setting on my Merchant Dashboard.
The 3D Secure feature is available under the Fraud Tools. If you can't find it, check your 3D Secure eligibility with your reseller.
I enabled 3D Secure on the Merchant Dashboard. Will the service start immediately?
If the merchant uses Clover Hosted Checkout or Clover Ecommerce products, like Payment Links, 3DS is available by default. If you integrate Clover APIs on a merchant's website, consult your developer to confirm whether the 3DS integration is complete.
What network schemes are supported?
Clover 3DS works with American Express®, Discover®, Mastercard®, Visa®, and their affiliated partner networks.
How can I use 3DS services on Mastercard-issued cards?
To use 3DS services on Mastercard-issued cards, a merchant must collaborate with their reseller or acquirer to register their merchant identifier (mId
) with the Mastercard SecureCode program.
