Navigate the Clover App Market
The Clover App Market Home page displays:
- Search field and the following tabs—App Market Home, My Apps, Categories, and Collections
- The main carousel has a banner and images of apps for prominent display.
- Secondary carousels with app tiles that display in the categories Must-have Apps, New & Notable, Recently Launched, and custom collections.
- Feature tiles, for example, apps to Sell online.
View apps in the App Market Home
- Browse the App Market Home page to view the various apps, including the app logo and name, developer name, rating, and subscription.
- Click an app to view the app Details page for all information about the selected app.
- Click Explore More in a carousel or section to view all the apps in that carousel or tile.
- Search and view the information in the Clover App Market using the following:
- Search field
- My Apps
- Categories
- Collections
- Select the App Market Home tab to return to the homepage from any page in the App Market.
Search for apps
- Access the Clover App Market for your region:
- In the Search field, enter search criteria or keywords.
- Press Enter or Return. Search results display the apps that meet the search criteria.
- Click the Sort by drop-down arrow to sort the search results by:
- Most relevant (default)
- Top rated
- Most popular
- Newest
- Click an app name to view the app details.
Search apps by developer
You can search for apps by developer name.
- Access the Clover App Market for your region:

Browse through the available app tiles and select a developer name from each tile. The search results display the apps by the selected developer.

Click the Sort by drop-down arrow to sort the search results by:
- Most popular (default)
- Top rated
- Newest
- Click an app name to view the app details.
View My Apps information
The My Apps page displays the third-party and Clover apps that a merchant has installed.
- Access the Clover App Market for your region:
- On the App Market homepage, select the My Apps tab. The page displays app information in three columns: App name, Developer, and Fees (including subscription and pricing).
- Click the Filter by drop-down arrow to filter the apps that display on the page by:
- Apps by 3rd party developers
- Apps by Clover
- Click the icon next to the Fee column for an app to view and use additional functions, such as:
- Open the app
- Change the subscription
- Uninstall the app
- Rate an app
View apps by categories of the merchant business
App categories allow Clover to categorize the approval requirements for the target businesses for which your app is designed. There are two app categories:
- Functional or horizontal categories—Displays apps relevant to all business types, for example, Employee Management, Accounting & Tax.
- Domain or vertical categories—Displays apps relevant to a particular business type or merchant category code (MCC), such as quick service restaurants. Merchants are assigned to a specific MCC code during the onboarding process.
Note: Currently, the merchant category mode (MCC) is not enabled for Europe.
Before submitting your app for approval, you must select at least one functional and vertical app category. You can also select up to three functional app categories and as many vertical categories relevant to your target merchants and their businesses. The categories you select to display in the Market Listing of your app. You can change app categories at any time; revisions are automatically approved.
To view apps by categories:
- Access the Clover App Market for your region:
- On the App Market homepage, hover over the Categories tab. A submenu displays all available categories.
- From the submenu, select a category. The page displays apps in the selected category.
- Click the Sort by drop-down arrow to sort the search results by:
- Top rated (default)
- Most popular
- Newest
- Verify that your app displays in the category selected during app approval.
View apps by collections
Collection is a group of apps hand-curated by a Clover reseller or Clover representative based on a particular business type or merchant category mode (MCC). Merchants are assigned to a specific MCC code during the onboarding process.
Note: Currently, the merchant category mode (MCC) is not enabled for Europe.
To view apps by collections:
- Access the Clover App Market for your region:
- On the App Market homepage, hover over the Collections tab. A submenu displays all available collections.
- Click the Sort by drop-down arrow to sort the search results by:
- Most relevant (default). Indicates the order in which the apps are placed in a collection by a reseller or Clover representative.
