2026 Clover code freeze

As we approach the holiday season and the end of the year, we want to inform you of the upcoming code freeze effective November 10, 2026–January 3, 2027.

The holiday season represents the highest transaction volume period of the year for Clover merchants. To protect merchant operations and maintain platform stability, reliability, and security during this critical shopping window, we pause non-critical changes. During the code freeze, we do not allow major updates, new features, or integration changes, and support is limited. This freeze applies to third-party apps using Clover APIs and SDKs.

Clover platform: Updates paused

November 10, 2026–January 3, 2027

During the code freeze, we do not update Clover APIs, SDKs, or other platform services.

Developer apps

No app approvals

November 10, 2026–December 6, 2026 and December 10, 2026–January 3, 2027

We continue to review app submissions during these periods, but we do not release approved apps until after the freeze ends.

Critical updates

December 7, 2026–December 9, 2026

During this window, you can submit new APKs only for critical issues or security vulnerabilities that directly impact the functionality of your integration. These new APKs require further review and justification for approval.
