Expiring auth tokens coming in 2023 - 2024
January 19, 2023
Mark your calendars for an OAuth change to roll out in 2023 - 2024. Clover plans to implement expiring authentication tokens. We will use short-lived access tokens to authenticate with APIs. These tokens can be refreshed using a refresh token. Your applications must manage these tokens and handle the access token refresh to maintain continuous access to the APIs.
Takeaway for developers
No action is required at this time. Clover will share more information throughout 2023 about what technical changes are needed.
What to expect
In March and May,* Clover will release new APIs to replace current OAuth calls.
