Resetting the device

Resetting a device stops any in-flight commands from the POS and returns the device to an initial state. When a POS needs to reset a device, use the /v1/device/reset endpoint. The welcome screen is shown after the reset is complete.

Prerequisites

  • The POS is connected to the device using a network or cloud connection

Steps

  1. Send an empty PUT request to the /v1/device/reset endpoint. Be sure to include the required headers for the request you are making.

Any in-flight commands from the POS are canceled and the device returns to an initial state.
