Release Notes - March 27th, 2019

We have released the following billing-related improvement for the Clover App Market:

Disabling closed merchant accounts from installing paid apps

Clover merchants with a CLOSED account status can no longer install paid apps or upgrade to paid subscription plans for apps on the Clover App Market.

A merchant account is CLOSED when the business relationship between the merchant and Clover ends. After a grace period of 90 days, during which the merchant can choose to renew the relationship, the account is offboarded by Clover.

Upcoming billing improvements

In the coming months, Clover will be releasing more billing updates for developers.

Updated Billing API & webhooks

Using our updated Billing API, developers will be able to accurately track billing status updates related to app installs by merchants. In addition, Clover plans to enable webhooks for retrieving this data.

Disabling lapsed merchant accounts from installing paid apps

Clover merchants with a LAPSED account status will no longer be used to install paid apps or make changes to their paid subscription plans for apps on the Clover App Market.

A merchant account is LAPSED when Clover is unable to bill the merchant due to incorrect or incomplete banking information.

We will send an announcement when these updates are available.

You can keep track of all merchant-facing changes on Clover Help. For questions and feedback, use community.clover.com.
