Changes to API rate limiting 2015

As the Clover merchant base continues to expand and app usage increases, we want to ensure that no single app takes too much of a load on our API servers. In order to provide a high quality experience to everyone, we have set the API rate limit to 64 requests per second per token. To continue to provide reliable service across our platform, we will be transitioning into a 16 request per second per token limit on API calls in time to be ready for our servers' regular weekend traffic bump this Friday, June 19th. If you exceed this limit per token, you will receive a 429 error code. We acknowledge your ongoing commitment to providing excellent service to your merchant user base. And we appreciate your effort toward addressing the scalability of that service as it becomes available to an expanded market. Please contact us with any questions you have moving forward.
